Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) provides support to faculty and staff who, in turn, assist graduate students at the University of Waterloo.

Procedural documentation

The Graduate Studies Resources Confluence website contains procedural and informational documentation for admissions, awards and funding, communications, marketing and recruitment, graduate programming, records, and systems and security. Please note that you must be logged in to access the site.

Student Information System (SIS) requests  

Please help us keep our records up to date by using the Student Information System (SIS) access management and graduate contact list changes form. This form lets you officially notify GSPA of any changes in your program’s graduate administrative staff or faculty, as listed on the faculty, department, and program contacts pages. The form also includes instructions for accessing Quest, Slate and other University of Waterloo systems.

Graduate studies program changes  

If you wish to make changes to your existing graduate studies program, discuss options for new graduate program creation, or need to update your graduate course details, please contact Trevor Clews, Academic Officer, GSPA.

Verification of University of Waterloo degree 

The University of Waterloo has partnered with MyCredsTM, a leading digital credential expert and platform for certifying, sharing, and verifying academic credentials. MyCredsTM is owned by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC). It is a national credential wallet for post-secondary learners that has been created by Canadian higher education leadership. For more information on the process, visit The Centre MyCreds website
